Engineering
Mechanical Design Engineer In this fast paced environment, the Mechanical Design Engineer must be able to perform engineering duties in research, planning, and design of mechanical and hydraulic products and systems. Coordinates activities involved in fabrication, and installation of products and systems by performing the following duties:
Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
Designs drivelines, transmissions, axles, castings, and hydraulic products or systems with knowledge of materials, forming processes, machining processes, and hydraulic calculations.
Coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
Evaluates engineering change requests and recommends design modifications to eliminate production and assembly difficulties.
Develops and completes test plans for new or existing products. Analyze data to correct issues.
Additional requirements include: Bachelor 's degree from a four-year university in Mechanical Engineering, minimum 3-5 years engineering experience in a manufacturing industry, experience in the use of ProE engineering software.
